Accreditation at the doctoral level is limited to the Doctorate in Executive Leadership at the Beckley Campus. Accreditation at the Master’s level is limited to the MS in Nursing with concentrations in Administration/Education at the Beckley, Martinsburg, and Orlando Campuses; the MS in Nursing with concentrations in Nurse Anesthetist, and Nurse Practitioner offered at Beckley and Martinsburg Campuses; MS in Health Science, MS in Criminal Justice Administration, MS in Physician Assistant, MS in Strategic Leadership, the MA/MS in Interdisciplinary Studies, and the MA in Psychology. The RN to-BSN program is limited to the State of West Virginia and the Orlando Campus in Altamonte Springs, FL. Additional programs at the Orlando Campus are limited to the BS in Organizational Leadership and the MS in Strategic Leadership. Programs at the Washington, D.C., Mooresville, NC, and Center Township, PA campuses, the Hickory Center in NC, and the Apopka Florida Hospital, Allegheny County and Chester County, PA sites are limited to the B.S. in Organizational Leadership and the M.S. in Strategic Leadership.
Approval of New Degree Locations:
The Commission's Streamlined Review Process is only available for offering existing programs through the Baccalaureate level and the Master of Science in Strategic Leadership at new sites within the state. Out of state degree sites are limited to two in the Metropolitan Area (the Campus in Altamonte Springs and the Florida Hospital site), two in Chester County, Pennsylvania (Tredyffrin Township Police Department and Chester Country Fraternal Order of Police Building), two in the state of North Carolina (Hickory Center and Mooresville Campus) and one each in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania (Air National Guard), in Beaver County, Pennsylvania, and in Washington, D.C.
Approval of Distance Education Degrees:
Prior Commission approval required for distance education programs other than those which are offered on the Beckley campus.
Reports Required:
Contingency Report: A report giving evidence of approval from the National League of Nursing Accreditation Council should the University seek to offer the RN to BSN program online and/or a report to address the concerns of the Board of Examiners for Registered Professional Nurses relating to the LPN to BSN degree prior to the implementation of the online version of the program.
